Our new friends, Karen and Jason Campbell, from Waialua Soda Works on the North Shore of Oahu visited us in July. Reviving a local, old-fashioned soda bottling tradition that goes back more than 100 years, the family-owned company uses only clear glass bottles, pure cane sugar and natural flavors to make its Pineapple, Mango, Lilikoi (Passion Fruit), Vanilla Cream, Root Beer and KonaRed (Kona Coffee Cherry) sodas. The products feature local ingredients such as Maui Brand cane sugar, Big Island vanilla, and honey from Kauai. Stop by Pizzanista! for a slice and a Waialua Soda!
